Once upon a time, Vanessa and Terri met through mutual friends at a gig. Vanessa went off to perform in Edinburgh, Terri jumped on a plane to surprise her and a couple of years later they said ‘I do’ on a hill overlooking their beloved Joburg…

Within a year of making it official, we were briefed on a modular exhibition stand for a multinational electronics company and, rather than a static shell-scheme, we pitched a touring musical. Entertaining, yes, but it also helped distributors internalise product knowledge, because relatable characters, comedy and song equals retention. With an elated client and glowing feedback from client's target audience, we knew we were onto something.
From personifying printers to launching stands at motor shows, producing impact films for private and public sector clients, running a cheeky activation for a premium FMCG brand, and producing an award-winning comedy to empower women, we delivered and delighted with original, quality work and our vision to enlighten, uplift and transform. And so, Bloom & Stone flourished.
Enter Zama in 2018. This dynamic young film production graduate was eager to learn and grow. So into the deep end she went: creating an ekasi-style village in an expo hall for unemployed youth to access opportunities, producing radio dramas and integrated campaigns to support communities and taking shows on the road to mentor and empower young people. Zama quickly earned her stripes, becoming a partner in 2022.
